Who we are
JOYFUL USA INC. is a California corporation and the U.S. arm of a Japanese tool distributor with deep roots in the trade. Our parent operation has spent years supplying professional tools to businesses in Japan, working directly with the small manufacturers who still forge, grind and finish by hand.
We started this store because those tools were difficult to buy in the U.S. Importing one meant long waits, unclear shipping costs, and no one to talk to when something wasn't right. We hold stock here instead, so you order from a U.S. company and deal with a U.S. company.

Why Japanese tools
Japanese hand tools are built around a different idea: sharpen it, adjust it, and it keeps working. Blades are laminated with hard steel where the edge is and softer iron behind it, so they take a fine edge and stay repairable for decades. Handles are shaped for control rather than speed.
